  1. How do I become a member of the club?

a)     Come along to a club meeting or a club event. After you have attended 3 meetings or events, as a guest, you will be eligible to make an application to join the club.

  1. How much is the annual membership fee?

a)     $50 total. $25 is the membership fee and $25 is for affiliation to the New Zealand Four Wheel Drive Association. Membership of the Association is compulsory,  but if you are already a member through another 4x4 club, then you need only pay the $25 club membership fee.

  1. What should I have in/attached to my vehicle for club trips?

a)     Your vehicle shall have properly fitted and rated tow hooks, front and rear.

b)     Your vehicle shall have a good first aid kit.

c)      Your vehicle shall have a securely mounted fire extinguisher. (Minimum 1kg)

d)     Your vehicle shall have a selection of D shackles, 3.75 and 4.35 swl.

e)     Your vehicle shall have a rated and approved kinetic recovery rope / recovery strap of minimum 8000kg breaking strain.

f)       Your vehicle shall have a securely mounted shovel.

g)     Your vehicle shall have a securely mounted spare wheel, jack and wheel brace.

h)     All open top vehicles shall have a securely mounted and inspected roll cage.

i)        Your vehicle shall be fitted with a set of good mud tyres. All Terrain tyres is not acceptable for most trips.

j)        You must bring your current and valid drivers licence.

k)      Your vehicle shall have a current Warrant of Fitness (WOF) or your vehicle shall have a valid club safety inspection decal.

l)        Refer the trip sheet for more information about equipment for trips.

m)   You may be refused access to a specific trip if, in the opinion of the trip leader, your vehicle is not suitably equipped.

n)     The trip leader may use his discretion to allow access to a specific trip, even if your vehicle does not have all the equipment, depending on conditions on the day or minimum requirements for a specific trip.
